It’s been a year since I’ve started doing my blog + business reports & I’m so excited to share the results with you all! I’ve already shared my Q1 report, Q2 report & Q3 report on the blog. I hope you guys enjoyed following my growth through 2016.

I truly believe that sharing is caring. Reading income + brand reports by other bloggers helped me big time on improving myself. For this reason, I would love to share my Blog + Business reports, so that my customers and readers can get a better idea of the behind the scenes of Kotryna Bass Blog + Design.

Alright, so here is the summary of how I did in the last quarter of 2016.

Income

Q4 was slightly slower than Q3 income-wise, but I was actually thrilled to take a break! However, November in fact turned out to be my most profitable month of the year as I run a pretty active Black Friday campaign. For all of those wondering how the heck I make money from my blog + biz here are all of my sources:

Design Shop– 61%
ETSY– 12%
Affiliate Income- 26%
Other- 1%

Total passive income: 95%

I’m beyond excited to see my affiliate earnings growing every quarter. They now reached 26%, and I hope to see this number improving during 2017. ETSY is now only bringing me 12% of my income which is actually a good thing! I prefer focusing on my own website.

I only decided to take one custom blog designs per month & completely minimised my custom design work. I love working on custom web design projects, but I realised that I want to focus on digital products & expand my passive income instead. I’m so satisfied to see that Q4 I made 95% of my income this way.

Expences

There wasn’t that many expences in Q4. Of course, Christmas went a bit harsh on my saved pennies, haha.

Despite that, I was focussed on ending my year in peace & didn’t really wanted to take upon new employees or sign up for paid courses.

I decided to invest more money into my business during 2017 & I hope to evolve on this a bit more in my next quarter’s report.

Traffic

During this quarter, my traffic was highest I’ve ever reached. I believe it was mostly affected by me blogging on very popular topics such as Black Friday Sales, Christmas Shoppings as well as continuously sharing Blogging Tips For The New Year.

The lesson we can all learn from this is that being relevant to the season is actually very helpful for your stats. Give it a try!

Social Media

Here are some of the numbers I took note of on January 1st, 4th of April, 6th of July, 3d of October and today:

Twitter: 1496 → 2342 → 2454 → 2566 → 2594
Instagram: 2700 → 4874 → 7491 → 10829 → 10873
Facebook: 2651 → 3048 → 3227 → 3477 → 3631
Pinterest: 362 → 655 → 1646 → 2828 → 3368

To be honest with you guys, I haven’t focussed that much on Social Media this quarter. I wanted to dedicate this time to reflect on my business & finish off my clients’ work. This is very obvious when you look at my Twitter or Instagram growth.

I’m not stressed at all tho! I did what I have to do in order to refresh, relax & get ready to achieve my new goals.

When I look at where I was at the beginning of the year, I feel so, so proud! Seriously, I grew significantly in all of my accounts & that’s what matters the most!

Newsletter

All in all, building my newsletter was the best business decision I’ve made in 2016. I already completed a few successful launches because of it & I’m proud to say that I ended my year with over 3k awesome creatives on my list. I know you want to be a part of this awesome group: JOIN TODAY!
